Had a two man party Tuesday and we managed to catch 22 trout, 2 reds and a flounder. We only kept 12 of the trout, but had four over four pounds and one an honest five pounds. The bite really turned on about 1:00 p.m. when the tide turned. The weather was wierd... fog, rain, wind, more fog, etc.

We continue to whack the trout in West Bay on soft plastics, especially the Bass Assassin in Chartreuse/Woodpecker and 1/8 oz lead heads. Just fish the streaks on a fast moving tide and you will be in the fish. Also watch for feeding pelicans. Work lures very slowly and also try the 38 series Mirro-Lures in Chartreuse/Gold or 808 colors.

We continue to slam the fish in West Bay despite heavy winds. Bass Assassins and 38 series Mirro-Lures are working very well when worked very slowly in 4 or 5 foot of water.
Try the areas between Mecom's and Greens Cut.

Lots of huge gulf trout mixed in with the specks and reds, not to mention some huge flounder.

Well, the disbeliever that I am caused me to have to try the lures you guys are promoting on your website. The rubberback mullet did prove itself worthy of space in my tackle box. I tried these new lures the day before the front came in and wow! Eight specked trout on a day that the wind was blowing 20 knots. I had to let them sink almost to the bottom. But these babies did come through! West Bay is in the path of these lures the first day the wind lets up from this front.

The party of Don & Louis Ciaccio along with Gordon and Jack Hughes caught 28 flounders on Wednesday. Louis managed to land a hugh 8.1 lb. flounder. Needless to say, he is a very proud angler.
